The word travertine comes from the Italian word ‘Travertino’ and is linked to a district near Rome called Tivoli, which is where a lot of travertine is naturally formed.   2. Travertine Tiles
    They are normally 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″ thick and they have square edges which makes its installation effortless. Travertine tiles are mostly used for interior projects. They are installed using grout and the surface needs to be smoothed out before applying grout and installing the tiles.
  3. Travertine Mosaic Tiles
    Mosaic tiles are small square shaped tiles generally 1” x 1” 2” x 2” sizes in various colors. Travertine tiles can be used both for indoor and outdoor decorations. They are for example perfect for a backsplash or accent wall. Also they can be used for pool deck, tub surrounds, bath walls, flooring accents, decorative nooks and kitchen backsplashes.
